According to the CSIA (Certified Chimney Institute of America) and the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), chimneys should be inspected annually and cleaned as needed. We all have the mindset that our chimney should be swept each Fall, but truth be told, that might not be necessary. If the home owner maintains their appliance, burns the right fuel, and burns properly, chances are there will be very little creosote buildup. Now if any of these 3 aren't performed perfectly, creosote can accumulate very quickly and be a fire hazard. Having an inspection done each year, or even more often, can tell you a lot about your appliance and chimney's health, a good look at your creosote build up, and also help you understand if any type of repairs need to be made for your safety and the safety of your home. A little known fact is that water is your chimney's biggest enemy. Stop the leaks before they start, or address the leaks as soon as you notice them. Better yet, let us find the leak for you during our inspection.
How we are different:
We use the best equipment with the latest technology.
We take safety to the next level.
Keeping your home clean is most important to us.
We are proud to be a "by the book" company.
Unless you are having issues with you Chimney, Fireplace, or Stove, the best time to have your Chimney cleaned is in the Spring and Summer. If you wait until Fall or early Winter there is a good chance that there will be a slight delay getting to you, as that is our busiest time of year. However, we will do our very best to fit you in when it's convenient for you! Another benefit of having your Chimney inspected and swept in the Spring and Summer is if we find an issue during the inspection we can schedule a time to address the issue while it's still nice out and before you want to have your first burn of the year!
